Despite the lull for reality programming during the fall, evident by the dip in ratings for "Survivor: Africa" and "Temptation Island 2," CBS is flying back reality at full speed.

Hoping midseason will revive the genre, the Eye is launching "Survivor: Marquesas," "The Amazing Race 2" and "AFP: American Fighter Pilot."

The three high-concept reality-based shows will each air on separate nights, in an attempt to draw viewers to the network. "Survivor" will retain its Thursday night, while "Race" will take Wednesdays and "AFP" will take Fridays.

Shortly after the premiere of "Survivor: Marquesas" on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m., CBS will kick off the second installment of "Amazing Race" at a special time on Monday, March 11 at 10 p.m.

"Race" will then move to its regular time on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., starting March 13. The show will benefit from having "Survivor" as a lead-in during its first two weeks in the Wednesday time slot, thanks to CBS' coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament on Thursday, March 14 and 21.

"AFP" takes off on Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m.

In addition, the two-finale of "Survivor: Marquesas" is being moved to Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m., followed by the hour-long reunion special. The winner will be revealed on the same day as the series finale of FOX's "The X-Files."

"The Amazing Race 2," produced by Jerry Bruckheimer ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"), features 11 new couples racing around the world for a $1 million grand prize.

"AFP" follows three men from various backgrounds while they train to become F-15 fighter pilots. The series is executive produced by film directors and brothers Tony and Ridley Scott.
